With hard work and extra time England's Lionesses has managed to secured their first ever European Championship triumph over Germany at Wembley Stadium on Sunday.
In the 110th minute after Lina Magull levelled following Ella Toone's opener,Chloe Kelly popped up in the box to score the winning goal. Chances were difficult to come by for both teams but Sarina Wiegman's battled through the tiredness of extra time. Kelly's strike and the full-time whistle were met with astounding celebrations at Wembley and Wiegman's players which medals were presented by Prince William as the partying continued.
Sunday has been a landmarked day in English football where The Lionesses conquered Germany at Wembley and inspired a nation. Football has come home and we're all the better for it.
